What is an Apple ID?

The Apple ID is a basic digital identity that gives iOS users access to Apple’s digital as well as online services. With the Apple ID, one gets the right to use Apple’s services across various iOS devices, including Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and of course, the iPhone.

The Apple ID lets one sync the data and information like Calendars, Bookmarks, Reminders and Contacts via iCloud. It allows the user to download apps and games from the Mac and app iOS store.

It also lets the user download music from iTunes app store and products from Apple Online Store. Plus, the user can contact Apple Tech Support or buy AppleCare (Apple’s extended warranty coverage) using the Apple ID.
